Meteor Shower

Hello!

Since I have the nubbins now, I decided that I can start adorning them in dark vampy colors. I've always thought that dark colors would look too severe on longer nails, so I guess that's my silver lining in having short nails. :)

So without further ado, I present to you China Glaze Meteor Shower. This is a gorgeous dark blue base with multicolor (mostly) square, round and hexagonal glitters.

It is actually quite thick and opaque once you put it on, and when it dries, it's super bumpy. But that's nothing a good thick glob of top coat can't fix! I wore 2 coats (1 is actually sufficient for complete coverage) and 2 thick layers of OPI Rapidry to achieve the smoother finish in the following picture.

I'm quite happy with this polish, although I think the glitter is much more pronounced in the bottle and less so on my nails. But I prefer these glitter to be subtle on my nails anyway.

I thought I'd take a picture of how the glitter shines in the bottle. I think the color combo of the glitter is really pretty against the dark navy blue base.

So that's China Glaze Meteor Shower for you!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. Thanks for reading! ❤

  1. OOOh I'll have to put this on my wishlist!

My nails didn't survive a day at the park with my son. I snagged my two pointers. Un-salvageable! So I had to file mine down pretty much to the nubs tonight as well! The plus side is I can start growing them out Square instead of oval. I've got a cute orange and navy mani to post when I get up in the morning.

Thanks for posting the different views!
